A stock is a security, the purchase of which confers a holding in the company and rights related to the company. Companies offer their stocks to the public for a variety of reasons, such as to expand their operations. By buying a stock, you essentially become one of the owners of the company and are entitled to a share of its profits.

Why invest in stocks?

  • In long-term investment, the stock portfolio has historically produced high returns.*
  • From dividend payments on Finnish, Swedish, and Norwegian stocks, you can conveniently use a more favorable tax rate with us.

What are the risks associated with stocks?

  • Prices of stocks may also fluctuate due to reasons not necessarily directly connected to the company‘s economic results (e.g. cooling of the global economy or liquidity crises).
  • Stocks, just like any other investment product, are also accompanied by other risks, such as liquidity risk, legislative risk, currency risk, tax risk, interest rate risk, etc.

The investor should be aware of these risks and evaluate them on a continuous basis. Regarding the potential risks, more information is available here.

Stocks, like all investments, are accompanied by risks. It is important to understand that stocks do not guarantee a return.
